Apartments in Spitalfields (London), the historic working-class neighbourhood in eastern London
The name Spitalfields dates back to the Middle Ages, when a monastery with an associated hospital, the St. Mary Hospital, was founded in today’s Spitalfields. The place name “hospital fields” was shortened to Spitalfields and still refers to the area of the former hospital grounds on central Commercial Street. In the 19th century, the area around your private accommodation in Spitalfields, London, was disreputable as a slum area where, as in neighbouring Whitechapel, the legendary serial killer Jack the Ripper was at large. The historic district market, the proximity to the trendy Brick Lane and the lively art scene of the district make Spitalfields an attractive residential area that attracts young Londoners in particular. With an apartment in Spitalfields (London) you can discover this multicultural and vibrant part of the city among the residents without having to restrict your privacy, as would be the case with couchsurfing in Spitalfields, London. Use your private holiday home in Spitalfields, London, to visit the Whitechapel Art Gallery, which has been providing an insight into Spitalfields’ important art scene for over a hundred years. The Christ Church, built in 1729, also bears witness to the long history of this eastern part of the city and is today one of the most magnificent churches in London.

Excellent location for a trip to London! The apartment is located in the hippster quarter Shorditch, not far away from Brick Lane - a street with a lot of bars and restaurants where young people come together. London Tower Bridge can be reached by walk. The apartment is beautifully decorated and clean. Very good value for money and can be highly recommended!

Kaz took care for everything in advance, so it was no problem finding the place, getting the keys and such. Yet, trying to figure out something per mail while being there didn't work. All in all, you get a really good deal if you're practical and self-sufficient.
